He packed much into his 37 years, and leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness, unwavering love for his family, and unrelenting drive to live life to the fullest. Kace attended St. Mark’s School of Texas and then went on to graduate from Arizona State University. He was co-founder and partner at RBA, an award-winning branding and advertising company with a wide array of clients.

Family was everything to Kace. He would do anything for his wife, Claire Amberson Phillips, and their two children, George and Caroline. He found joy in the simple moments spent together, whether teaching George about football or kitchen dance parties with Caroline.

Kace had a massive stable of friends spanning from preschool through post college. They never left his side through his illness. If he wasn’t spending time with his family, he was with his friends, playing golf or seeing live music. He and his friends were always doing “bits”, jokes with no substance that brought joy to all who partook.

A man of diverse passions, Kace’s love for music and sports was unparalleled. His enthusiasm for the Dallas Cowboys was unmatched and he loved live music, from jam bands and red dirt country to more soulful sounds. Even while fighting cancer, he organized epic golf trips, playing 90 holes in three days, saw amazing shows, traveled around the country, and lived life like there was no tomorrow.

Kace’s passion to help those with hearing loss will be continued with the Dallas Hearing Foundation. He brought wisdom and fresh ideas to the board and he will be missed greatly.
