Texas Hands & Voices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Texas Hands & Voices is a parent-led nonprofit organization providing resources, peer support and advocacy in an unbiased manner to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We envision a world where children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing have every opportunity to achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas Hands & Voices (TX H&V) offers support, information and resources in an unbiased manner to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.  Our outreach activities, parent\/professional\/community collaboration, and advocacy efforts are focused on enabling Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children to reach their highest potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statewide Outreach Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 1995, the 74th Texas legislative session mandated the establishment of a statewide resource center, the Statewide Outreach Center (SOC) at Texas School for the Deaf (TSD), for the improvement of educational outcomes for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in Texas. The center\u2019s operating base is on the Texas School for the Deaf campus from which services and resources are disseminated to students, their families and the professionals who support them around the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
