Texas Workforce Solutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vocational Rehabilitation Services (TWS-VRS) is a partner within the Texas Workforce System to support job seekers with disabilities as they prepare for, obtain, maintain, or advance in competitive integrated employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services are available to eligible individuals with disabilities across Texas and VR staff are co-located within many Workforce Solutions Offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Texas Workforce System is intended to support everyone who wants to work, with supports and services to help them get a job or keep a job or advance in a career. This includes identification and referral of workforce customers who may be eligible for VR Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To locate the Texas Workforce Solutions – Vocational Rehabilitation Services office nearest you that provides services for people with Visual<\/strong>, Physical<\/strong>, or Auditory Disabilities<\/strong> search by ZIP Code, County, Workforce Board Area, Program, and\/or Specialized Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1979 by Howard E. \u201cRocky\u201d Stone, the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is the nation\u2019s leading organization representing consumers with hearing loss. The programs and events<\/a> we offer are designed to focus on you\u2014the person. HLAA strives to give people the tools they need to live more successfully with hearing loss and to show them they do not have to face hearing loss alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CapTel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ideal for people with some degree of hearing loss, the Captioned Telephone<\/strong>, or CapTel<\/strong>, works like any other telephone with one important addition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It displays every word the caller says throughout the conversation. CapTel phone users can listen to the caller, and can also read the written captions in the CapTel\u2019s bright display window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
