Mission
The Dallas Hearing Foundation provides financial assistance for hearing healthcare along with meaningful community support and resources to underserved children and adults in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
Vision
The Dallas Hearing Foundation envisions a world where all deaf/hard of hearing children and adults have access to a supportive community and advanced hearing technology.
Impact
Over the last 29 years, DHF has worked tirelessly to ensure that people in financial need with hearing loss have access to medical and surgical treatment, hearing technologies such as hearing aids and cochlear implants, and the speech, listening, and educational support needed to thrive at home, school, and in the community. Recognizing early on that technology alone does not ensure successful outcomes for recipients, DHF began offering opportunities for connection and community shortly after it was founded. Today, DHF offers referral resources, family navigation, a youth leadership group, and monthly community support programs to ensure long-term success and connection for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Since our inception, we have provided hearing technologies and services to nearly 1300 individuals at an estimated value of $6 million in financial assistance. Nationally, DHF is the longest-running nonprofit of its kind still in service to those who are deaf/hard of hearing.
