Texas Hands & Voices is a parent-led nonprofit organization providing resources, peer support and advocacy in an unbiased manner to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
We envision a world where children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing have every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Texas Hands & Voices (TX H&V) offers support, information and resources in an unbiased manner to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Our outreach activities, parent/professional/community collaboration, and advocacy efforts are focused on enabling Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children to reach their highest potential.
Statewide Outreach Center
In 1995, the 74th Texas legislative session mandated the establishment of a statewide resource center, the Statewide Outreach Center (SOC) at Texas School for the Deaf (TSD), for the improvement of educational outcomes for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in Texas. The center’s operating base is on the Texas School for the Deaf campus from which services and resources are disseminated to students, their families and the professionals who support them around the state.

Deaf Action Center
For more than 30 years, Deaf Action Center has empowered and equipped individuals of all ages throughout North Texas. With offices in Dallas and Fort Worth, we provide a comprehensive range of programs that combine commitment, caring, and communication to help create personal, social, and professional growth and success.
The Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP)
The Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP) helps people who have a disability that interferes with their access to telephone networks purchase basic specialized assistive equipment or services.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Technology Specilaists promote quality of life for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing through technology and managing hearing loss. Services include:
- Assistive technology demonstration and assessment
- Consultation and training on communication strategies
- Referrals to community resources for support for hearing loss
